Biography
I am a consultant vascular surgeon. I qualified from the University of Manchester in 1989 and have worked in Sheffield in both NHS and private practice since 2002.
As a specialist vascular surgeon I treat the complete range of vascular disease. I have developed considerable expertise in the minimally-invasive treatment of varicose veins.
I perform endovenous laser, radiofrequency and foam sclerotherapy treatments. I introduced endovenous laser ablation to Sheffield in 2004 and have performed over 650 endovenous procedures. I have trained surgeons in this technique from throughout the UK and Europe.
In addition, I undertake thorascopic sympathectomy for palmar and axillary hyperhidrosis and facial flushing.
Insurance
I am recognised by all the major UK health insurance providers. Fees for insured patients are in line with those published online by WPA. Insured patients normally require a GP referral to see me.
Self paying patients
Self paying patients can arrange to see me directly by contacting Thornbury Hospital out-patient reception.
Medicolegal practice
Instructions from solicitors are welcome. These will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Prompt assessment of clients with rapid turnaround of reports is offered.
